scope on the 5th. live on the 13th.
a mix engineer selling presets, mixing and sessions with nowhere of his own to sell them. this is the build with a result already attached to it.
- scope signed
- 5 july
- live on his domain
- 13 july
- checkout
- his own account
- edits without the studio
- every word and price
the problem
presets, mixing and session work are three different things to sell and he had nowhere to sell any of them. the work was real and the audience was real. what was missing was a place that took money and delivered a file without him being awake for it.
what got built
a storefront on his own domain covering all three: presets delivered instantly on payment, mixing and mastering booked on the page, sessions taken the same way. checkout runs straight into his own account, so nothing sits in a middleman's balance waiting for a payout schedule.
the handover
he edits every word and every price himself, without going through the studio. that is the point of the dashboard: doing it yourself stays available even when the studio is doing it for you. the domain, the checkout and the customer list are all in his name.
the result
the store is what landed him preset work for Quinton Bobbitt, who runs TheVoxBox and whose vocal presets are all over YouTube. a storefront that exists is a credential a DM is not, and it did that job inside the first stretch of being live.
what this build used
Artist tier work.
questions this build answers.
how long does a custom artist website take to build?
this one went from signed scope to live on the client's own domain in eight days. the timeline is set in the scope before anything is built rather than promised as a standard turnaround, because it depends on how much of the product data and artwork already exists.
can a mix engineer sell presets and take bookings on one site?
yes. presets deliver instantly on payment, mixing and mastering are booked on the same page, and both run through the engineer's own checkout. one property, three things to sell, one customer list.
who built Mixed by Isolation?
Studio Raine, a design and software studio in New York City that builds direct-to-fan platforms for producers, engineers, labels and artists.
your roster, the same way.
every property above is on a domain the client owns, with the checkout in their account and the customer list in their name. the studio builds it and hands it over, then keeps running it for as long as that is useful.
